Pink Cobalto Calcite from the Congo, renowned for its striking pink hue & one of my our personal favs here at irl angel. The pink color is said to be a result of cobalt presence in the crystal structure with pieces ranging from a very pale almost gray pink to a vibrant hot pink. Presence of cobalto is directly linked to how pink any given piece is, it is also what gave the mineral its namesake.
We love pink cobalto, it is one of those materials that captures your attention instantly making you think “the earth produced THAT?” and yes the earth truly did.
