This stone was mined by farmers in the southern region of Wales. Specifically the Preseli Hills area where this stone is found. This is the same material that the revered stones of Stonehenge are made of. Interestingly enough Stonehenge is about 150 miles away from the Preseli Hills where this blue stone is exclusively found. It remains a mystery how it made its journey but many have interesting theories!
